"I’m fascinated by what we look away from, things that we respond to viscerally but often perceive as a threat. These are the things that make us flinch. But in our glance away we’re lessened by our fears. As art, these forms can deliver a second and more honest viewing and almost second sight. The Australian cuckoo wasp helps us recognise our fears and practice another response.
Note: trigger warning for those with deep-seated fears of stinging insects."
