Snapper Point Sunrise
by Monique Vincent
Acrylic Gouache on paper
I will never forget the first time I saw snapper point. I had walked from Moonee Beach and my husband told me “we are nearly there”, I had no clue he had a particular destination in mind but as we got to the bottom of the hill I was awestruck. A deep dark sea cave, mysterious and beautiful. We stood for a long time watching the waves lapping at the mouth of the cave. For my birthday I asked we do the same walk at sunrise, I can’t remember if the sky was bright pink, maybe it was the excitement of my birthday but in my memory it was pink.
